Job summary

City of New York’s Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) seeks a Senior Program Manager to oversee monitoring of Workforce program contracts in In‑School Youth programs within the SYEP portfolio. Responsibilities include provider performance, policy communication, data systems usage, field audits, and supervising seasonal staff.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree with experience in community work or related fields, plus strong analytical and supervisory skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community-centered activities.
• High school graduation or equivalent with six years of related experience; at least one year must be as described in item 1.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess SYEP Providers performance to ensure high-quality services to youth.
• Communicate program policies and procedures to guide SYEP Providers to meet contractual goals.
• Utilize DYCD’s information management systems for program and contract performance.
• Conduct field visits to providers’ sites and offer technical assistance during pre-program, summer, and post-program.
• Complete audits of program records at provider sites and support special initiatives as needed.
• Supervise seasonal staff and log/track monitoring reports.
• Compile and analyze data to inform management decision-making.

Education

Baccalaureate degree
