Job summary

BAL is seeking an Immigration Consultant in New York to support high-volume casework and day-to-day client service. You will report to Associate or Senior Associate and focus on case production, client communications, and procedural expertise across immigration processes.

You will handle routine client inquiries, manage filings through established workflows, and perform essential administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and timely progression. Strong organization and learning agility are required.

• Maintain clean, complete case records with strong data integrity.
• Solve basic issues and escalate where appropriate for timely progression.
• Collaborate with attorneys and colleagues to support smooth case progression.
• Show professionalism and discretion handling sensitive information.
• Follow established workflows, templates, and filing protocols with consistency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for routine client communications and updates.
• Manage production of high-volume immigration filings using templates and workflows.
• Perform administrative duties including scanning and filing complex petitions.
• Maintain accurate and complete case records with data integrity.
• Use reports and dashboards to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Assist with case assessments and gather required documentation from clients.
• Draft immigration forms and supporting letters for various case types.
• Coordinate with government agencies to track status, respond to RFEs, and monitor deadlines.
• Build foundational knowledge across immigration case types and stay updated on policy changes.
• Support internal training and contribute to process improvements.
