Job summary

Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL) seeks an Immigration Consultant to support high-volume casework and deliver quality client service. You will work under supervision to manage filings, draft forms, and communicate with clients and attorneys.

Reporting to senior staff, you will gain foundational paralegal knowledge across immigration processes, stay current on policy changes, and contribute to process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0–5 years of business immigration experience.
• Ability to handle high-volume, detailed immigration filings.
• Foundational paralegal knowledge and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for routine client communications and updates.
• Initiate, assess, prepare, assemble, and file high-volume immigration filings.
• Scan and file complex petitions and supporting documents.
• Maintain accurate case records and respond to requests from clients and attorneys.
• Use reports and dashboards to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Draft forms and supporting letters for various case types including NIV, IV, and PERM.
• Coordinate with government agencies to track status, RFEs, and deadlines.
• Build knowledge across immigration case types and stay updated on law changes.
• Support training and process improvements; escalate issues as needed.
