Job summary

Volunteers of America VOALA in Los Angeles is seeking an HR Service Operations Lead to streamline HR functions and head the HR Service Team in delivering employee services, onboarding new hires, and coordinating offboarding.

You will coach HR Associates and Assistants, triage inquiries to HR Compliance, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and HRIS, and drive process improvements while ensuring accurate HR records and compliant practices on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 2+ years in HR with project management experience.
• Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring staff.
• Knowledge of federal, state, local employment laws.
• Experience with onboarding and HRIS implementations.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR Service Team and coach HR associates and assistants.
• Oversee onboarding of new hires and offboarding processes.
• Track HR metrics on hires and terminations.
• Coordinate payroll-related issue resolutions with Payroll.
• Support HRIS and onboarding system improvements.
• Handle employee inquiries and triage to HR Compliance/ER/Recruiting.
