Job summary

Caretenders, a part of LHC Group, is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant for home health settings. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction and patient education, and help improve patient well-being under the plan of care.

Requirements include PTA licensure, a valid driver's license, and weekend availability. Benefits include comprehensive programs; a positive, caring team environment is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care and perform only procedures qualified and trained to perform.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and coordinate care with the health care team.
