Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development seeks a Substitute Paraeducator for its Head Start program. In this role, you will help create a safe, supportive classroom for 3- to 5-year-olds and assist in preparing materials and activities alongside the Lead Teacher.

You will provide individualized care, support social and school readiness goals, and collaborate with families and therapists to meet each child’s needs while adhering to Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must obtain a Child Development Associate Credential within a specified time frame.
• Must attain additional training or certifications as required by WCFD.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with lesson setup and materials preparation.
• Provide individualized care to meet each child’s needs.
• Deliver direct services to children and families in Head Start settings.
• Support IFSP/IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and therapists.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
