Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development in Glenrock seeks a substitute paraeducator for our Head Start program. You will work with the Lead Teacher to prepare materials, set up the classroom, and provide individualized care to young children aged three to five, aiming to support social competence and school readiness.

Duties follow Head Start standards, including activities, behavior support, documentation, and collaboration with families and therapists.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED and be 18 years of age.
• Must obtain a Child Development Associate Credential within a specified time frame.
• Must attain additional training or certifications as required by WCFD.
• WCFD accepts degrees from accredited institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program per guidelines from DHHS and WCFD.
• Implements set lesson plans in various settings (individual, small, large group).
• Deliver direct services to children, families, and staff in various settings.
• Communicate positively with staff, children, and families.
• Support IFSP and/or IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and therapists.
• Keep classroom areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide individualized educational activities to develop problem-solving and self-confidence.
• Assist with outdoor and playground activities.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc.
