The State of Indiana is seeking a State Eligibility Consultant to review and determine eligibility for SNAP, Medicaid and TANF benefits. You will ensure accuracy, update case information, and support improvements in the DFR accuracy review process while collaborating with contract staff and internal teams.

Requirements include deep knowledge of public assistance rules, strong interview skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Formación

• Thorough knowledge of public assistance policy, practices, and procedures.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local rules for public assistance programs.
• Experience with computerized eligibility systems and data interpretation.
• Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions.
• Empathy and tact when working with diverse clients.

Responsabilidades

• Review all eligibility recommendations and information from contract staff.
• Determine eligibility for benefits and waiver programs per policies and guidelines.
• Examine data matches to identify inconsistencies and unreported data.
• Approve contractor-referred and calculated claims.
• Conduct full eligibility interviews for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid applicants.
• Stay updated on changes in rules and guidelines for benefit programs.
