Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Department of Social Services in Spartanburg County is seeking an Eligibility Case Manager to support SNAP, TANF, ESAP, and SCCAP programs. You will interview clients, determine eligibility, authorize benefits, and maintain confidential case records.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least one year of experience in Economic Services Programs, with a Bachelor's Degree or higher substituting for experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least 1 year of experience in Economic Services Programs.
• A Bachelor's Degree or higher may be substituted for the required program experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide SNAP/TANF/ESAP/SCCAP services following laws and agency policies.
• Conduct quality interviews for applications/renewals (phone and in-person).
• Process eligibility determinations and issue benefits as applicable.
• Maintain client records and documentation in agency systems.
• Identify and document overpayments and support referrals for hearings.
• Perform emergency shelter duties as directed.
