Job summary

South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks an ES Eligibility Case Manager to support SNAP, TANF, and related programs. You will conduct eligibility interviews, process applications and renewals, and manage ABAWD caseloads within the Economic Services Division.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of related experience; a bachelor’s degree can substitute for one year. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and at least one year of experience in Economic Services programs.
• Bachelor’s Degree may substitute for one year of experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• Willingness to perform field work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Provide services in SNAP/TANF and related programs in Economic Services to help stabilize customer finances.
• Conduct quality interviews via phone or face-to-face for eligibility assessments.
• Process SNAP/TANF applications and renewals and reauthorizations; determine eligibility.
• Manage ABAWD caseload and maintain ABAWD tracking; determine SNAP eligibility.
• Process system alerts for county of residence and caseload.
• Maintain confidential case records and prepare reports in designated systems.
• Document client participation and enter events in SCOSA to support continued eligibility.
• Identify overpayments and prepare referrals for the Benefit Integrity Unit.
