Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Belle Mead, NJ is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a 2nd shift at our day program. You will supervise and assist individuals in daily living skills, schedules, and transportation to activities.

Starting pay is $20.42/hr with increases based on education and experience. We offer immediate time off, excellent health benefits after 30 days, tuition assistance, growth and training opportunities, and a collaborative, servant-leadership culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older (required).
• Able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic with a team approach to care for our individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs to meet social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals to be involved.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
