Job summary

Devereux New Jersey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals in our day program. The role is based in Belle Mead, NJ, with 2nd shift positions available, and starts at $20.42 per hour with increases for education and experience.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team in a collaborative, servant-leadership environment emphasizing safety, growth, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our individuals are safe and healthy while attending our day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist our individuals in daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation and documentation of programs for social, emotional, physical and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities and outings.
• Schedule and transport our individuals to and from day program.
