South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a CWS Case Manager - Investigations to conduct timely initial investigations of child abuse and neglect and to coordinate services for at-risk children and families in York County. You will perform FAST-based safety assessments, engage with families and external partners, and ensure compliant documentation and records in CAPSS.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, with advanced degrees or related experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science.
• Bachelor's degree in any other field and one year related experience.
• Master's degree or higher may substitute for required work experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform initial investigations of reports of child abuse and neglect and coordinate services.
• Respond to intakes and assess safety using FAST; develop safety plans when needed.
• Engage families and partners with empathy; coordinate with law enforcement and legal when needed.
• Locate and engage absent parents and relatives to support the Child Welfare Team.
• Recommend interventions and document services on the Family Permanency Plan.
• Maintain case records per policy and ensure timely CAPSS documentation.
• Maintain child welfare certification and complete 20 training hours yearly.
• Protect PII and safeguard agency data and networks.
• Perform Red Cross shelter or emergency shelter duties as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Formation

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science

Bachelor's Degree in any other field + 1 year related experience

Master's Degree or higher may substitute for required work experience
