South Carolina Department of Social Services seeks a CWS Case Manager to perform investigations in the child welfare domain. You will conduct initial safety assessments, engage with families, and coordinate services to ensure safety and permanency.

You will maintain documentation in CAPSS, participate in team planning, and complete required training while collaborating with law enforcement and other partners. This role is based in York County, SC with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science.
• A Bachelor's Degree in any field plus one year of related experience.
• Experience in child welfare or investigations preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform case management in Investigations to ensure safety, permanency and well-being.
• Conduct initial safety assessments using FAST.
• Engage families and collaborate with law enforcement and legal when needed.
• Locate and engage absent parents, relatives, and fictive kin to support the CFT.
• Recommend services and document referrals on the Family Permanency Plan.
• Document case activities in CAPSS per policy and maintain records.
• Maintain child welfare certification with yearly training.
• Protect PII and safeguard agency data.
• Perform Red Cross shelter or emergency duties as directed.
