YOUNGWILLIAMS INC. in Kitty Hawk, NC seeks a Child Support Specialist - Customer Service to provide full services to customers in all stages of the child support process.

The role involves interviewing customers by telephone and in person to determine service needs and to guide cases through the management process, while ensuring all state, federal, and contractual timeframes are met. Extensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or human services is preferred.
• Familiarity with office environments and automated systems is desirable.
• Ability to interview customers and gather information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Initiates locate procedures such as location of customers address, employment, and assets.
• Obtains and processes information necessary for establishing the order.
• Conducts interviews with customers receiving and paying the support.
• Answers phones to assist customers and respond to customer requests.
• Accesses system data to obtain relevant case information.
• Prepares cases and documents for review by staff attorney or supervisor.
• Identifies remedies needed for enforcement of support orders.
• Files legal pleadings and orders with the clerk of court.
• Enters docket numbers and court dates into the state system.
• Attends court with assigned attorney and assists in case resolution.
• Completes attorney-directed court follow-up within required time frames.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of case information.
• Regular and timely attendance
• Other duties as assigned.
