Job summary

Centria Autism in Mount Pleasant, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism. You will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA, using evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

No prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided. You must be able to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and pass required certifications. Pay ranges from $17 to $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using individualized behavior plans.
• Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors and promote safety.
• Move, stand, walk, and lift as required up to 50 pounds.
