Job summary

Centria Autism in Mount Pleasant, MI is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training, a supportive team environment, and opportunities to grow in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce interfering behaviors
• Collaborate with a team and participate in comprehensive training for effectiveness
