Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA. Training is provided to help you learn evidence-based techniques that teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

You will engage in activities that promote growth, require patience and teamwork, and involve safe lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Help children reach their full potential and work in a team environment.
