Job summary

Community Autism Services is seeking a committed Behavior Technician to support youth with intensive behavioral and emotional needs on-site in a structured program. You will work under BCBA supervision, implementing individualized behavior strategies and maintaining a calm, protective presence throughout sessions.

Responsibilities include 1:1 and small-group support, data collection, and collaboration with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• High School diploma or GED
• Prior ABA experience
• Experience with intensive or high-acuity behaviors
• CPI training or willing to complete CPI training prior to start
• Must be comfortable responding to physical and verbal aggression

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with youth in a structured program setting
• Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and treatment plans for intensive and complex behaviors
• Respond safely and appropriately to challenging moments using CPI techniques
• Support skill development related to communication, behavior regulation, and daily routines
• Collect accurate behavioral data and session documentation
• Collaborate with program staff, educators, and clinical supervisors
• Support youth through transitions, routines, and escalated moments with patience and consistency
• Maintain professionalism and safety awareness in a secure program environment
