Job summary

Community Autism Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to support youth in a structured program under BCBA supervision. You will implement individualized behavior strategies, build trusting relationships, and help youth develop communication and daily routines.

The role offers a stable weekday schedule, on-site work in Thousand Oaks, ongoing clinical supervision, paid onboarding, and opportunities for growth into lead BT, ABA instructor, and BCBA pathways.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior ABA experience required.
• Experience working with intensive or high-acuity behaviors required.
• Must be CPI trained or willing to complete CPI training prior to start.
• Must be comfortable responding to physical and verbal aggression as part of routine duties.
• Must meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned site.
• Valid driver''s license and dependable attendance.
• Ability to follow behavior plans and program routines with consistency.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting, consistent relationships with youth in a structured program setting.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group behavioral support.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies and treatment plans for intensive and complex behaviors.
• Respond safely and appropriately to challenging moments using CPI techniques.
• Support skill development related to communication, behavior regulation, and daily routines.
• Collect accurate behavioral data and session documentation.
• Collaborate with program staff, educators, and clinical supervisors.
• Support youth through transitions, routines, and escalated moments with patience and consistency.
• Maintain professionalism and safety awareness in a secure program environment.
