Lawrence Family Development Charter School seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support PreK-8 students and staff. The role focuses on behavior analysis, IEP-driven interventions, and RTI-supported strategies in collaboration with classroom teams.

The BCBA will develop individualized behavior plans, monitor progress, and provide professional development to teachers, while maintaining strong communication with families and school leadership.

Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Education or related field.
• BCBA Certification.
• 3 years experience preferred.
• Experience with urban students of Hispanic backgrounds preferred.
• Experience in PK-8 Educational Setting preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred.
• Commitment to the mission and goals of LFDCS.
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills (oral and written).

Responsabilités

• Provide services as outlined on Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
• Focus supports on self-regulation, emotional control, transitions, routines, task initiation, functional communication, and classroom participation.
• Support students across general education, inclusion, and specialized settings, as appropriate.
• Observe students across multiple environments to inform intervention planning.
• Use SEL and RTI data to identify student needs and appropriate interventions.
• Develop and monitor evidence-based Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) when appropriate and in collaboration with the special education team.
• Collect and analyze data through observation, interviews and review of academic records to assess intervention and plan effectiveness and guide adjustments.
• Support the development of measurable IEP goals related to social-emotional and behavioral needs.
• Consult and collaborate with teachers regarding behavioral concerns and support.
• Support teachers and paraprofessionals in implementing behavior plans with fidelity.
• Provide professional development and model best practices for staff related to implementation of behavior plans, interventions, and positive supports.
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, RTI meetings, and other relevant meetings.
• Communicate with families regarding student progress related to individual behavior plans, as appropriate.
• Provide regular updates and consultations with school leadership, including the Principal, Heads of School, and Student Services Coordinator.
