Job summary

King County Sheriff's Office Communications Team is seeking a 911 Communications Specialist (911 Call Receiver) to support public safety in King County. You will handle emergency and non-emergency calls, gather critical details, and prioritize responses while coordinating with Deputies on the scene.

Responsibilities include CAD data entry, radio communications, and maintaining logs. Applicants must meet English fluency, have a high school diploma or GED, and pass PST and typing exams with scores

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Must read, speak and write English fluently.
• Pass the 911 Dispatcher PST and typing exam; scores must be sent to KCSO.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and route emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Gather information and enter data into the CAD system.
• Assign response priority and relay information via radio.
• Retrieve information from state and national systems and relay to Deputies.
• Record logs and maintain event cards.
• Manage multiple radio frequencies and ensure clear communication.
