Uncommon Schools in the United States seeks a Deans of Curriculum & Instruction to lead data-driven instruction, teacher development, and whole-school culture initiatives across a high-performing charter network. You will partner with the Principal and DCIs to raise student achievement while coaching instructional leaders.

The role emphasizes rigorous analytics, professional development, and scalable systems for ongoing teacher support, with competitive compensation and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teaching experience with evidence of outstanding student growth.
• Demonstrated instructional coaching capabilities.
• Strong content knowledge across multiple grades/spans or content areas.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to plan and deliver high-quality professional development (within the school, region, or network).

Responsibilities

• Lead data-driven instruction and analysis meetings based on student data.
• Develop action plans, materials, and systems to address data gaps.
• Monitor progress against benchmarks across grades or content areas.
• Facilitate assessment cycles and QA of materials.
• Provide daily observations and feedback to teachers.
• Plan and deliver professional development sessions.
• Coach and lead IL Team Meetings with the Principal.
• Oversee school-wide data response curriculum and reteach plans.
