Job summary

The Children's Council of SF is seeking an Evaluation Manager to lead program evaluation, data collection and analysis within the Research, Data and Evaluation team. You will supervise the Program Data Coordinator and work closely with the Director to build learning opportunities, inform direction, and verify assumptions.

You will design high-quality evaluations, develop data dashboards, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for grant

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; BA in Social Sciences preferred.
• Minimum three years of evaluation and data analysis experience.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team.
• Experience collecting, analyzing and reporting impact evaluation data.
• Experience designing and analyzing surveys (SurveyMonkey, Google Forms, Microsoft Forms).
• Experience creating evaluation reports, dashboards, and visual summaries (PowerBI, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and project management skills.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM systems a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions with program/admin leaders to assess and analyze program impact.
• Produce data insights to inform cross-department action plans.
• Support design of impact-focused presentations for external use.
• Manage multiple evaluation projects with effective prioritization.
• Oversee daily team workflow and activities.
• Monitor tasks and distribute workload across the team.
• Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and training to staff.
• Seek opportunities for process improvements and change management.
• Facilitate and lead implementation of evaluation opportunities for grants.
• Design and implement high quality evaluations and analyses for new programs.
• Conduct interviews and focus groups with stakeholders.
• Support grant reports with evaluation findings.
