Job summary

Community Youth Center of San Francisco (CYC) seeks an experienced Evaluation and Learning Director to lead impact measurement, improve program effectiveness, and foster a culture of learning. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will design evaluation frameworks, guide data collection, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for staff and funders.

The role oversees Learning & Evaluation, including budget management and data systems enhancements such as Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social services, research, or related field, or a minimum of three years in evaluation/research.
• Strong knowledge of qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods and statistics.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools and statistical software.
• Experience designing dashboards and user-friendly analytic reports.
• Experience with data systems and reporting for nonprofits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement evaluation strategy to assess program impact and organizational outcomes.
• Establish KPIs and data collection methodologies across levels.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify improvements.
• Ensure culturally responsive and equity-focused evaluation methods.
• Lead Learning & Evaluation with budget, staffing, and data logistics.
• Produce reports and dashboards for funders and leadership.
• Collaborate with program teams to optimize data collection and usage.
