Vanda Pharmaceuticals in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) to exceed sales goals by delivering value to customers with differentiated products and services.

The role develops regional strategy, analyzes local market, builds relationships with psychiatrists and CMHCs, manages travel and promotional budget, and ensures compliance with all regulations and policies.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
• Associates level considered for the right candidate.
• Atypical antipsychotic/orphan drug experience preferred.
• Psychiatry/CNS experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• Willingness to travel and reside within territory.
• Strong drive, relationships, and local market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products in alignment with sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales direction.
• Analyze local market and monitor performance to maximize product use.
• Maintain current product, disease, competitive, and reimbursement knowledge.
• Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills.
• Identify and leverage advocacy channels; secure product access and reimbursement.
• Manage travel and promotional budgets and complete call reporting.
• Maintain compliance with laws and Vanda policies.
