Job summary

STGi is seeking a Grantee Specialist to support the Head Start Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team in Region 9 (AZ, CA, NV). The position is remote with travel up to 50%.

You will provide on-site, group and virtual TTA to grant recipients related to governance, program management, and fiscal operations, ensuring compliance and effective data use. The role requires extensive experience with Head Start programs, monitoring processes, data analysis, and the ability to develop corrective

• Knowledge of Head Start Act, monitoring protocols, and program performance standards.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Provide training and technical consulting to varied audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage workloads and deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work on-site with HS/EHS programs as needed.
• Experience with budgeting and multiple funding sources.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site, group and virtual TTA to grant recipients in governance, program management, and fiscal operations.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans addressing root causes of noncompliance.
• Coordinate TTA with related specialists to improve education, family services and health services.
• Assist recipients in data aggregation, analysis, and data-driven decision making.
• Create and deliver presentations and training for program management and fiscal operations.
• Maintain timely communication with Regional/Area Office staff on TTA delivery and progress.
• Provide resources to support the corrective action (QIP) process.
• Enter action steps and progress into required reporting systems (SmartHub, Head Start Enterprise System).
• Participate in national, regional and state workgroups and meetings as directed.
