Job summary

The University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute, within UMDI - TTA Head Start, seeks a Grantee Specialist to train, consult, and provide TA on governance, program planning, and fiscal management for Head Start recipients. This role reports to the Regional Office and supports ongoing quality improvement.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in HS/EHS program management, with strong communication and data analysis skills. Remote work arrangement with travel in New England.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Five or more years of program/organizational management and/or fiscal operations experience in Head Start/EHS programs.
• Experience delivering trainings, technical assistance and facilitating discussions.
• Experience analyzing data and using data to drive decisions.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive on-site, group and virtual training and technical assistance to grant recipients on governance, program management and fiscal operations.
• Develop corrective action plans addressing findings and coordinate with Regional Office.
• Support recipients to develop data-driven procedures and improve program operations.
• Deliver trainings and TA using virtual platforms and in-person formats.
• Maintain timely communication with Regional Office and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate management systems.
