Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in the United States seeks a Regional Sales Director for the East Region within the Immunology Sales organization. This field-based leadership role directs District Managers and field representatives to drive engagement, access, and launches, with P&L responsibility and cross-functional collaboration.

Travel up to 50% is required; a BA/BS and 10+ years in pharma sales or managed care, plus 3+ years of people management, are expected. Advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in life sciences, health care, or related field.
• 10+ years of sales, marketing, or managed care experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• At least 3 years of people management experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips.
• Experience building regional strategic business plans and omnichannel strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead a regional team of District Managers and field sales reps to execute customer engagement strategies.
• Own the customer portfolio and deliver trusted communications across team touchpoints.
• Align account plans with payer considerations to optimize access and reimbursement.
• Meet regional P&L targets and drive growth through strategic initiatives.
• Foster relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to support launches.
