Job summary

Lisinski Law Firm, LLC is seeking an Operational Staff Attorney to review immigration applications and filings under supervision. You will support client documents, maintain attorney-of-record responsibilities, and ensure timely, accurate work with guidance from senior attorneys.

The role involves discussions with clients (often via interpreters), preparing filings, and coordinating with the team to meet daily goals while upholding confidentiality and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from ABA-approved law school.
• Active good standing with state bar.
• EOIR number preferred or plan to obtain within first month.
• 0–1 year post-J.D. immigration experience; training provided.
• Interest in immigration law and helping families stay together.

Responsibilities

• Serve as attorney of record on assigned immigration records under supervision.
• Support legal strategy development for USCIS matters and immigration court cases.
• Review drafts, RFE responses, appeals, and filings per guidance.
• Evaluate filings for accuracy and alignment with case strategy; edit as needed.
• Communicate with clients via interpreter and document key case updates.
• Attend master calendar hearings for emergencies with senior guidance.
• Meet daily review goals while maintaining accuracy and professional judgment.
• Monitor deadlines, escalate risks, and keep case records organized.

Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or equivalent
