Job summary

Fragomen is seeking a Business Immigration Associate to join a leading global immigration law firm. You will build client relationships, formulate strategies for complex matters, and manage case preparation and filing with a focus on risk and compliance.

Ideal candidates will hold a U.S. JD or LLM, be admitted to a US state bar, and bring 5–8 years of Associate-level experience with strong communication and leadership abilities. Opportunities exist for mentorship and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• U.S. JD or LLM required.
• Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association.
• 5–8 years of experience at Associate level.
• Comprehensive knowledge of immigration law.
• Prior team management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, strengthen, and maintain client relationships with key stakeholders and Partners.
• Formulate immigration strategies for complex matters and present clear arguments.
• Independently execute case preparation, filing, and strategy development for intricate matters.
• Supervise Associates and staff, providing mentoring and performance feedback.
• Lead process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and standardization of services.
• Support Partners with proposals, pitches, and business development activities.
