Job summary

Fragomen is seeking a Business Immigration Associate in the United States. The role focuses on handling complex immigration matters, independently managing case work, and building strong client relationships.

You will work within a senior team, supervise junior staff, and ensure high-quality document preparation and filing. Required are a US JD or LLM, bar membership, and 3–5 years of associate-level experience with strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• U.S. JD or LLM required.
• Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association.
• 3-5 years of experience at Associate level.
• Exceptional working knowledge and understanding of immigration law.
• Prior team management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedication to exceptional client service.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop expert understanding of client base and Fragomen's practice areas.
• Position as senior team member, independently oversee assignments with minimal supervision.
• Research complex immigration issues and formulate solutions.
• Independently prepare and file cases and develop strategies for complex matters.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with key stakeholders, including partners.
• Supervise junior associates and staff, provide mentoring and feedback.
• Ensure file maintenance and data quality in firm systems.
• Meet productivity goals and identify opportunities to cross-sell or bill for out-of-scope services.
• Identify and participate in process improvements and business development.
