Job summary

enGen is seeking an Imaging Systems Administrator to ensure optimal performance, integrity, and compliance of medical imaging systems within the healthcare setting. The role supports clinical environments, enabling seamless image viewing, interpretation, and data exchange.

The position requires experience in medical imaging systems, strong DICOM/HL7 knowledge, and collaboration with IT, vendors, and clinical staff. Remote-based work with travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical imaging systems administration, PACS/RIS/EMR.
• Strong knowledge of DICOM and HL7 standards.
• Familiarity with transmission protocols and server management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure an optimal environment for the viewing and interpretation of medical images.
• Monitor interfaces to EMR, RIS, PACS, and Voice Recognition systems.
• Verify data integrity and optimize image/workflow processes.
• Develop imaging policies compliant with federal regulations and familiarity with DICOM/HL7 standards.
• Assess imaging modality capabilities to support technology and clinical needs.
• Collaborate with customers and developers to understand requirements and design solutions.
• Create and maintain project lifecycle documents (vision, specs, tests, training).
• Manage job and project requirements to meet scope, budget, and quality.
• Use project tools for planning, monitoring, and closure.
• Assist with budget development and resource planning.
• Clearly communicate downtime/upgrades to stakeholders to minimize disruption.
• Interface with business areas, partners, vendors, and teams to drive value.
• Provide hardware/software implementation, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Retrieve data for KPIs or audits.
• Ensure QA with testing plans, scenarios, and defect management.
• Maintain documentation such as design documents and diagrams.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
