Job summary

enGen is seeking an Imaging Systems Administrator to ensure optimal performance and compliance of medical imaging systems across the healthcare environment. The role involves project management, vendor liaison, and ongoing workflow improvements to support clinical image viewing and data exchange.

The candidate will manage interfaces, verify data integrity, and participate in policy development for imaging management in line with federal standards (DICOM/HL7).

Qualifications

• Information Systems or Technology degree or equivalent.
• Experience with medical imaging environments preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data security practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensures optimal viewing and interpretation of medical images.
• Manages interfaces with EMR, RIS, PACS, and voice recognition systems.
• Verifies data integrity and optimizes image/workflow processes.
• Develops image management policies compliant with standards (DICOM, HL7).
• Assesses imaging modalities to support tech advancements and clinical needs.
• Participates in full system development lifecycle and documents deliverables.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to design solutions and manage budgets.
• Provides technical support for project and production activities.
• Ensures quality assurance and testing with traceable documentation.
• Makes sure downtime/upgrades communications are clear to stakeholders.
