Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiology Tech Aide to support imaging technologists in preparing patients and ensuring comfort and safety during exams. This PRN role at St Vincent Regional Hospital provides exposure to a range of imaging procedures and a collaborative team environment.

The position emphasizes patient care, safety, and coordination of services within a fast-paced imaging department, with opportunities to perform IV insertion when competent and approved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
• Assists in preparing the patient for the exam and is sensitive to their needs while in their care.
• Assists patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
• Assists and/or oversees coordination of patient care.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
• Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies appropriate personnel when repair is necessary.
• Transports patients to and from the Imaging department, ensuring comfort and safety.
• May perform IV insertion upon competency and skill pass off.
