Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital is seeking a Radiology and MRI Tech Aide to support imaging staff, prepare patients for exams, and ensure comfort and safety throughout procedures. This PRN role focuses on assisting with patient transport and coordinating care in a fast-paced imaging department.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, patient care experience, and Basic Life Support; training is provided.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required for caregivers.
IV insertion proficiency may be required by site.

Responsibilities

Accountable for safe and effective delivery of patient care under the direction of the technologist.
Assist in preparing the patient for the exam and ensure comfort and safety.
Assist patients on and off procedure tables and to and from procedure rooms.
Assist and/or oversees coordination of patient care.
Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
Routinely inspects transport equipment and notifies appropriate personnel when repair is necessary.
Transports patients to and from the Imaging department, ensuring their comfort and safety.
May perform IV insertion upon competency and skill pass off.
