Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a Registration Scheduler in Newport News, VA. You will schedule patient appointments across Imaging Services, coordinate referrals and authorizations, and ensure accurate demographics and test details are documented.

Responsibilities include maintaining timely scheduling, performing pre-registration and insurance verification, managing patient communications by phone, and supporting department efficiency and timely check-in processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 3-4 years business office experience.
• 1 year scheduling experience in Imaging/Registration preferred.
• Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patient appointments across Imaging Services and facilities.
• Increase appointment utilization and communicate changes to patients.
• Complete pre-registration and insurance verification per policies.
• Manage patient demographics, test details, and referrals.
• Contribute to Time of Service collections and communicate patient balances.
