Job summary

Vail Health is seeking a Pre-Registration Clerk to pre-register patients, verify demographics and insurance, and coordinate scheduling for procedures and appointments. You will handle incoming calls, create accurate records, and work with clinic teams to ensure data quality and efficient patient flow.

The role emphasizes excellent communication, clerical accuracy, and basic medical terminology knowledge, with access to housing and fringe benefits as outlined. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Previous admitting or clerical experience preferred.
• Must have working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Computer/Typing skills required to complete online learning, forms and benefits enrollment.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with clinic staff, providers and technologists to ensure demographics and insurance information is up to date.
• Creates complete Pre-Registration accounts for all scheduled appointments.
• Documents contact attempts and selects appropriate dates for follow-up calls.
• Coordinates with other staff when out of the office to maintain scheduling activity.
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
