Job summary

Capitol Imaging Services seeks a detail-oriented Scheduler to join the Radiology Imaging Call Center, handling inbound calls to schedule MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, and mammograms across our facilities. You will verify demographics and insurance, provide exam instructions, and coordinate with centers.

Use RIS/PACS or EMR/EHR systems to enter data accurately, assist with rescheduling, and stay current on imaging protocols and authorization procedures while upholding HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling imaging appointments in a radiology or medical setting.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Ability to handle high-volume calls with attention to detail.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Answer high-volume inbound calls and schedule imaging procedures based on orders and availability.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance details, and physician information.
• Provide exam prep instructions and location details.
• Coordinate with imaging centers, technologists, and front office staff.
• Enter appointment data accurately in RIS/PACS/EMR/EHR.
• Assist with rescheduling and cancellations as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of imaging protocols and authorization procedures.
