Cedars-Sinai is seeking an Imaging Scheduler to manage scheduling for CT, MRI, ultrasound, and other imaging services. You will coordinate with physicians, technologists, and nurses to ensure timely exams and accurate patient information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of college or comparable level of education and experience preferred.
• At least 2 years experience in a fast paced and complex environment where critical thinking skills are necessary.
• Previous experience in a medical environment is desirable.
• Windows based PC experience required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule imaging patients for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Vascular, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, X-Ray and Fluoroscopy clinics.
• Work closely with physicians, techs and NPs.
• Obtain clinical information and screen for exam appropriateness.
• Use critical thinking to make judgment calls and involve radiologist, nurse or technologist when necessary.
• Interact with office staff and patients professionally to minimize waits and delays.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments; coordinate anesthesia; verify orders; provide preparation information; obtain lab results, history and physicals, and written orders.

• Using critical thinking skills, they make judgment calls and involve the radiologist, nurse or technologist when necessary.
• Interacts with office staff and patients, in a courteous and professional manner, with a focus on keeping waits and delays at a minimum.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments; coordinate anesthesia; verify orders; provide preparation information; obtain lab results, history and physicals, and written orders.
