Job summary

UCSF is seeking an experienced Imaging IT professional to provide Tier 2 support for a broad suite of imaging applications. You will collaborate with clinical and technical teams to design, test, and deploy acquisition and exchange workflows, while ensuring robust outages management and change processes.

Ideal candidates will have strong DICOM/HL7/FHIR expertise, SDLC and ITIL familiarity, and the ability to manage small projects with cross-department partners, all while maintaining UCSF PRIDE

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years Imaging IT support experience.
• Strong knowledge of DICOM, HL7, FHIR, and imaging workflows.
• Experience with ITIL, SDLC, change management, and service delivery.
• Ability to lead small projects (<200 effort-hours) and coordinate with vendors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to train users

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 Imaging IT Application support for clinical software and systems.
• Configure, test, and deploy imaging acquisition and dataflow workflows.
• Develop upgrade strategies with Clinical leadership and owners.
• Manage SDLC testing, change management, and documentation.
• Collaborate with departments to configure HL7 interfaces and devices.
• Participate in PACS deployment and imaging IT projects.
• Oversee on-call coverage with after-hours and weekend support.
