Job summary

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented Imaging Coordinator to join the Imaging Team. The role involves patient registration, preregistration, collecting payments, updating records, and handling ITS/PACs data, while coordinating with clinical staff to educate patients about imaging procedures.

You will maintain confidentiality, support communications of critical imaging findings, and provide backup for incoming calls, contributing to a patient-focused hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• One year of clerical experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal communication to liaise with physicians and staff.
• Knowledge of insurer and payer processes helpful.
• CPR/BLS certification or attainment within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes and medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients; prepare pre-registration packets.
• Call patients for preregistration notices and collect co-pays and payments.
• Register patients and update medical records; enter/retrieve data in ITS and PACs.
• Prepare documentation for clinical procedures in Imaging; educate patients.
• Monitor PACs for STAT preliminary reports and critical findings; facilitate communication.
