Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks a Diagnostic Imaging Representative to support the Imaging department, providing crucial administrative and patient support. You will coordinate access to imaging services and help maintain efficient department operations.

You will schedule and register patients for imaging, verify insurance, obtain pre-authorizations, and ensure thorough preparation for visits, while maintaining clear patient communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Every day, you will expertly schedule and register patients for a wide range of imaging procedures, meticulously verify insurance information, and obtain pre-authorizations, ensuring comprehensive preparation for each visit.
• You will also provide clear and compassionate instructions to patients, manage incoming calls, liaison with ordering physicians, and accurately maintain patient records within our systems, all while upholding strict confidentiality and customer service standards.
• Front Desk Excellence: Greet patients and visitors warmly while maintaining an organized, efficient, and well-stocked reception area.
• Communication Management: Serve as the primary point of contact by managing incoming calls, delivering messages, and ensuring staff and patients are updated on schedules and delays.
• Patient Advocacy: Proactively address or escalation patient concerns, provide directions, and assist with patient flow to ensure a positive experience.
• Administrative Operations: Perform essential clerical duties, including copying, scanning, and managing files to support daily department operations.
• Documentation & Data Integrity: Accurately maintain patient records, process billing information, and secure necessary authorizations or insurance details.
• Workflow Coordination: Monitor daily schedules and logistical requirements to ensure seamless operations and timely service across all modalities.
