Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a Scheduler I to handle a high-volume mix of patient and provider inquiries across multiple Atlantic Health locations. Responsibilities include scheduling outpatient imaging, authorizations, registrations, and coordinating with practices to ensure timely care.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy in data entry, insurance verification, and use of Epic systems to manage queues and billing-related information.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of prior experience.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• All legally/reasonably expected certifications needed for function and level.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls, SMS, and web requests and schedule appointments for all Atlantic Health System locations.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of inbound scheduling requests via fax or electronic queues.
• Indicate special patient needs (e.g., accommodations, interpreter) and promote patient portal usage.
• Complete patient registration and fill out Face sheet to expedite check-in.
• Maintain and update patient accounts for medical and financial eligibility in Epic queues.
• Coordinate with patients and physicians to obtain missing information and inform on appointment status.
