Job summary

Wärtsilä is seeking an IM Coordinator for the North Region to act as the primary Information Management expert, bridging global IT and local operations across the US. You will ensure global solutions meet local business needs and regulatory requirements, while guiding adoption of new ways of working.

You’ll manage IT projects, coordinate with global teams, support vendors and contracts, assist with incidents, and help colleagues operate IT tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IM experience, including 5+ years in project management and stakeholder engagement.
• Solid understanding of ICT services, IT systems and applications.
• Hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN configuration, network management, IT Service Management, and data and cyber security.
• Customer-focused, proactive and adaptable way of working, plus strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, presentation and reporting skills.
• Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Understand business needs and propose smart, scalable IT solutions.
• Act as the key contact for global IT teams and turn strategy into action.
• Keep a customer-first mindset while managing local vendors and contracts.
• Be the first point of escalation for critical incidents and drive quick resolution.
• Help colleagues use IT tools and services, deliver training and lead information sessions.
• Manage local systems, support global rollouts, and oversee technical tasks such as backups and hardware configuration.
• Support office moves, technology upgrades and large events so everything runs smoothly.
• Manage assets and stock from procurement to retirement.
