Job summary

Wärtsilä Corporation in the United States seeks a Team Leader for Field Service (Electrical & Automation). You will lead the North Region Field Service team, develop capabilities, and ensure skilled coverage for troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance and modernization in power installations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in leadership, strong knowledge of automation/controls and familiarity with SalesForce and Qlikview.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar qualifications.
Professional certifications or additional training in power generation systems, switchgear, protection systems, controls, or electrical commissioning are considered an advantage.
Minimum 3 years managerial or leadership experience.
Experience with electrical troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and root cause analysis in power/industrial settings.
Familiarity with automation and control systems, PLCs, HMI platforms, plant monitoring systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Evaluate Field Service demand during the year and define actions.
Develop electrical competencies within the Field Service team for troubleshooting, commissioning, maintenance, and modernization.
Ensure optimal utilization of the team with right people in the right place.
Foster relationships with learning institutes to attract talent.
Maintain internal and external relationships to meet targets.
Collaborate with Sales, Lifecycle Support, Agreements, and Technical Service.
Contribute to annual budget and service forecasts.
Set performance and development targets for team.
