Job summary

Museum of Illusions in Utah is seeking an Illusion Expert to welcome guests, guide exhibit interactions, and help create memorable visits. You will greet visitors, assist with photography memories, sell tickets, and support merchandise in the retail shop and at special events.

The role requires strong communication, an energetic, friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy setting while maintaining brand standards across the museum.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 2 years of customer-facing experience highly desired.
• Experience in the arts, entertainment, attractions, performance or hospitality industry is a strong plus.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for guest engagement and an outgoing attitude.
• Proactive, reliable, and trustworthy; able to work under pressure.
• Significant emotional intelligence; self-starter personality.

Responsibilities

• Present a positive and professional demeanor as an ambassador for the Museum.
• Ensure guest satisfaction with superior customer service throughout the venue.
• Know all exhibits to instruct guests and enhance their experience.
• Assist guests with photographing memories and capture moments.
• Participate in or lead events like field trips, group visits, birthdays, or private rentals.
• Provide tours to guests or prospective clients as requested by management.
• Maintain cleanliness and brand standards in all areas including restrooms, retail shop, and playroom.
• Sell tickets, answer phones, process refunds, and manage merchandise queries at the front desk.
• Engage with guests in the retail shop and Smart Playroom users as they solve puzzles.
