Job summary

SimplePractice is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Identity & Trust to lead a squad of engineers, set the technical direction, and own end-to-end architecture across the stack. The role partners with product and design to shape the roadmap and ensure high-quality software used by health and wellness clinicians.

You will mentor engineers, drive best practices, and navigate a remote/hybrid work environment while delivering secure identity management solutions and scalable web applications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering high-quality software as an engineer.
• 5+ years managing software engineers with hiring and direction ownership.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong background in building web apps; Rails preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, release management; front-end tech knowledge.
• Experience with identity management, authentication methods, and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a squad of engineers, fostering collaboration and growth.
• Set technical direction and translate into a clear plan.
• Own architectural decisions across full stack, APIs to front-end.
• Partner with product and design to shape the roadmap and priorities.
• Mentor engineers and provide actionable feedback.
• Promote best practices and anticipate technical/resourcing challenges.
• Ensure collaboration in remote/hybrid environments across teams.
