Job summary

The World’s Identity Company is seeking a senior backend engineering leader to build and guide a team delivering mission-critical identity and security features on our Secure Identity Platform. You will set the technical direction, collaborate across product, security, and engineering, and mentor engineers while driving high-impact initiatives.

In this role you’ll own team health, strategy, and delivery, balancing new feature work with maintaining existing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years leading software engineering teams.
• Experience managing stakeholder expectations and cross-team alignment.
• Proven ability to build and scale teams from ground up.
• Strong focus on delivering outcomes under tight deadlines.
• 7–10 years in Java or backend software development; provide technical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a backend Java engineering team responsible for identity and security features.
• Set product & technical direction, roadmap, and strategy for the team.
• Ensure scalable, maintainable systems with automated testing and release processes.
• Drive team processes to deliver high-impact projects on time and with quality.
