State of Georgia's Department of Driver Services (DDS) seeks qualified candidates for Identity and Driver Credential Specialists 1 at a Gainesville CDL Center. The role focuses on handling applications, issuing learner permits, converting out-of-state licenses, and administering driver examinations in compliance with state laws.

Base salary is $32,000 annually with a $3,500 supplement. The position offers robust benefits and opportunities for internal mobility and advancement within Georgia

Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• A valid Georgia Class C or equivalent License is required and must be maintained while employed in this position.
• At least one year of face-to-face Customer Service experience in the last five years.
• At least one year of face-to-face experience with cash transactions and processing payments.
• Comfortable working with computer and internet technology.

Responsibilities

• Working with citizens to ensure applications, records and documents are completed accurately.
• Accompanying drivers in vehicles for commercial skills tests and in both traditional and virtual capacity for non-commercial tests.
• Conducting driving examinations for motorcycle and commercial licenses in accordance with state law and regulations.
• Operating visual testing equipment.
• Accurately collecting payments via cash or credit cards.
